History: The KDLW-1 Gel'Tar-Class was a hastily-produced, (slightly) cheaper, Attrition Unit
designed for massed assaults by battlegroups, using Trilithium-Depleted Torpedoes to try and
match Starfleet's Quantum Torpedoes and the Breen's Energy Torpedoes. In 2375, the remaining
members of the Class were organized into two Battlegroups: the 675th, and 676th, and sent
obviously by Gowron into some vicious areas, all but two being destroyed, at the loss of
a Dominion Supercarrier and five Cardassian Warships only.

Noteworthy Vessels/Service Records/Encounters: I.K.S Gel'Tar; - Prototype, captained by Kij Kenka
on a five-year long patrol mission near the Empire's newest Battlestation with the 591st Battlegroup,
I.K.S Ren'BaQu; - The last surviving member of the Class, assigned to investigate the Hunters
in the Gamma Quadrant (2378-2379)
