History-
The Valdinho-Class was based on an earlier proposed design: the Centaurus-Class Frigate, with various systems developed for 2Xe (early 2nd Generation X-Technology) installed into it, and some CIC and Troop facilities installed. The Class has many redundant backups, and was considered a viable replacement for the just being retired Soyuz- and Carlin-Classes.

The Veracidor was destroyed in the Tomed Incident, in a major Fleet Battle, the Veracruz was destroyed in a defensive action against an increasingly cocky IKS Battlegroup in 2338, and the USS Valdinho was retired in 2360 and sent to the Spaceflight Museum at Memory Alpha. The Valdinho was named after an Angolan Professional Footballer.
