21 September 2014 Game summary
In this game session a day and a half passed; therefore the game ended about 1300 21 SEP 2367 in game.
The evening of 19th in game, after the dinner, the Captain returned to his room finding a black envelop on his bed. He inquired with the computer whom had last been in his room, and the computer informed him that Chief Hinton (who had cooked and served the dinner that he had just served) was the last person to have entered the room. Opening the black envelope, it contained a computer code to be entered into a console and began to dissolve after ten seconds. Curious, but cautious, the Captain entered the code; on the screen the seal of Starfleet Intelligence appeared on the screen.
Mistaking the Captain as the ship's previous Captain at first, the partially obscured individual in a red Starfleet Uniform, after exchanging some banter and confirming to the Captain that this transmission was in fact an authentic Starfleet Intelligence transmission, gave the Captain an obscure instruction. That eventually the Tutuila will be given a mission, and during this mission they maybe told to do something by their higher command, but the Tutuila should not follow that instruction; that it is imperative that Starfleet Intelligence obtain these assets. The obscured individual then reminded the Captain that these instructions are classified and are for his knowledge only, then the transmission ended.
That same night the Tutuila's new Tactical/Security Officer went on liberty, drank some sythohal and later some alcohol, and had a good night playing Texas Hold'Em at one of the station's entertainment establishments (Ddum's). At that establishment, one of the players who appeared to be having a bad night already, began to leave the bar after loosing all her allotted funds in the game. Although winning the Tutuila's new Tactical/Security Officer left the game, and sought to she if she was OK. Obviously intoxicated, she was very friendly, and asked the officer to escort her to her room. Wanting to ensure that she made it their he did as she asked, and found himself on an enlisted crewmembers desk. At that point, a junior NCO saw the two in the turbolift, recognized him, and offered to take the intoxicated woman of his hands; the officer did so, knowing that continuing further might lead to complications.
The next day, the majority of the ship was on liberty, as the ship remained docked at Starbase 105. The ship's Medical Officer continued to call groups of individuals back for medical training. The XO prepared the ship for its upcoming deployment, charting routes, looking up regional activities (that the majority of the fleet was concentrated along the Romulan Neutral Zone, along the rim-ward Federation/Klingon Border, and "eastward" along the frontier; the area between Starbase 105 and Starbase 36 had significant merchant activity but at the time no Starfleet presence), etc. The ship's consumables and other stores had been mostly replenished, however the specialty items required to restock Chief Hinton's Galley (the galley for the Goat Locker), would take another four weeks for the items to arrive. The Captain hosted a fox hunt for the officer's who wished to join him on the holodeck. Later on that day, the ship's XO received a call from Starbase Security, requesting that someone from the Tutuila come and retrieve one of their crewmembers, who had been in their office complaining endlessly. They had informed the crewmember that their was nothing that starbase security could do to help him.
Transporting the crewmember back upon the Tutuila, the ship's Tactical/Security Officer, was able to discern that the crewmember, Rimmer, had lost a game to a party of Tellarians, and upon losing the game as payment of losing a bet, they took from Rimmer's inventory another crewmember's (Kry'ten) spare head as a form of payment. Starbase Security stated that they couldn't help Rimmer as the Tellarian's ship, the Korp, had already departed the Starbase; furthermore, the beat was legitimate. Speaking to Kry'ten, he informed the assembled officers, at this point the CO, XO, and CT/SO, that Betelgeasians are able to back-up their memories and personality into spare heads, and that during the process, depending on the mood of the individual at that time certain personality traits can become dominate in that back-up until the next time it is refreshed. That it was a way of Betelgeasians to survive, even if killed, and a new body can be created to revive the individual, and a spare attached.
Concerned with the potential knowledge this spare head may contain, the CO ordered all liberty cancelled, he ordered that the ship depart Starbase 105 immediately and intercept the Korp at best possible speed. The Korp, not being very fast (a merchant ship of 6 crew, capable of carrying 6 passengers and a large cargo capability, that can do Warp 4 at best), was heading towards Klingon space. After some research the Tutuila discerned that based on previously filed travel plans the Korp transited between Federation worlds, neutral worlds, and traded within the Klingon Empire as well. After intercepting the Korp, the Captain contacted her, and inquired as to the whereabouts of the spare head. The Korp replied that they did have the head in question, at which point the Captain offered to trade for it. After some haggling the Korp's Captain was able to get the Tutuila to pay them 400 slips of Gold Pressed Latinum (the Tutuila had 3 bars of GPL, or 6000 slips worth assigned to it at commissioning) for the head.
Completing the trade, and receiving a receipt of sale, the Tutuila began its mapped patrol route between Starbase 105 and Starbase 36. As per protocol, the Yeoman had the the required form for use of ship's Latinum ready for the Captain. Not wanting it to be known through out the fleet that the Tutuila purchased a head with the ship's Latinum fund, he putted down that the expenditure was for retaining information security. It was decided that Rimmer wouldn't be brought to Mast, but instead would be assigned additional duties and training, and forfeiture of credit allotment equal to 400 slips of GPL.
26 September 2014 game summary
In this game, we introduced a friend from Mexico to both Star Trek and RPGs
The first half of the game went rather slowly, introducing the mechanics and the world to the new player; one player was out, away on business in Asia (we play in San Diego County).
Within the game a total of 16 days passed, making the end of the game session around 1230Hrs 7 October (a Saturday). The ship went through its normal routine, watches going by rather uneventfully for the first seven days of the game. The command staff, continued their distant learning courses, attempting to qualify for rank. The ships one civilian/dependent moved ever closer to her due date to giving birth. After an uneventful period, patrolling the area between Starbase 105 and Outpost MZ-5, a rather quiet part of the Tutuila's patrol area, but under patrolled, the ship received a mission from 15th Fleet Operations, to escort a Klingon Denn'lar-class transport to the Halee system. Taking another seven days to intercept the Klingon Transport, they met up with the comparably sized ship within Klingon Space, and came along side, both ships moving at the slower ship's cruising warp. Attempting to make nice, the Tutuila extended courtesies to the crew of the Klingon Transport ship, but were rebuffed. Mum, and appearing rather sloven for members if the KDF, about what the transport was carrying, or why they were heading to the Halee system, and with the orders thin on details (and the players not making rolls about attempting to find out more), they remained alongside continuing what appeared to be a rather routine escort mission
Crossing over into Federation space, all that changed. A whiles into Federation space, but not yet reaching the Halee system, the Tutuila detected an explosion within the Klingon Transport, and it raised its shields. Not responding to hails, the Tutuilas strong sensors detected raising internal force fields, followed by those same force fields collapsing ever closer to the bridge. The game ended with one life sign going dead about the Klingon Transport, explosions on the bridge and engineering, and a party of ten lifesigns moving ever closer towards the bridge; all while the transport continued at warp.
Session ends on a cliffhanger!
Game summary 9 November & 16 November
Wow! I have been procrastinating writing up this summary for far too long.
Both of these games had three players in person, with one player unable to attend (still in Asia), and one player departed the group after the end of the 2 November game.

The amount of time that passed in game during the two sessions was less than 24 hours, with the end time being about 0500 8 October.
So there was the boarding party, standing in front of Klingons of a type that they had never seen before, or even knew about. Only a few of them even believed that the smooth headed aliens before them were even Klingon, even if it was not the type that they had previously known about. Confused, the Starfleeters stood there attempting to grasp the situation in front of them, seconds seemed like minutes. Suddenly, one of the tied up rigged Klingons lunged for a dropped disruptor; in a quick motion he fell towards it to get his tied hands upon it, set it for a higher setting, and fired. The disruptor bolt flew past the intended target (the leader of the smooth Klingons) and hit the Starfleet boarding team leader, the Tutuila's Chief Tactical/Security officer, squarely on his left shoulder; instantaneously it destroyed the uniform where it hit, dumping large amounts of energy into the Ensign (character at near-death). Reacting quickly, the Tutuila's Operations Chief, fired his phaser rifle, set on wide beam and heavy stun, hitting everyone in front of him; all the Klingons dropped, as well as one Starfleeter who was in between him and them (the one who previously fired and stunned the aft most three smooth klingons (mentioned in the previous post)).

In what were mere moments, There were 9 smooth klingons, 3 rigged klingons, and 2 Stafleeters who were stunned or worse. HM2 Libman rushed towards her downed leader, stabilizing him, but letting the Chief know that he was critical. Finally communicating with the Tutuila, the Chief quickly informed their ship of what had happened. Beaming first to the Transporter Room, then onto the Sickbays biobeds, the two downed Starfleeters began to receive further medical care.
With the away team officer-less, but now with the Tutuila's senior most Chief aboard the Klingon transport, the Captain, orders his XO to take charge, and has the transport's crew beamed to the brig, and orders that Tutulia's rarely used deck three spartan mess be modified as a temporary detainment area. (Tutuila's Captain has the defender Code of Honor disadvantage). Once aboard the Klingon transport, the XO keeps the stunned smooth Klingons (whom she had never heard or seen before (even though previously she had done a tour as a diplomatic specialists on Khitomer)) until the mess is ready, and has them beamed aboard her ship. Cleared of those charges, at least temporarily, she leads the away team to find the 16 other non-Federation life signs aboard the transport. The next sign the away team had come across that the transport's mission wasn't normal, was that in one room, was found a Klingon nursery; next was found a destroyed bulkhead, leading to a holding area, with one dead smooth klingon. Finally, the away team found where the other non-federation life signs were, containing women and children, as well as one tied up feces covered ridged klingon being poked at by some of the children.
As they entered the room, one of the female klingons (having waited by the door, ready to strike whomever would enter), attempted to attack (melee) the first person entering the room, the attack was dogged. Seeing that the people at the other side of the door were Starfleet, she dropped her weapon, and the other women were elated at the site of whom they believed were their saviors. The female klingon who attempted to attack introduced herself, and request asylum for those whom were under her protection, the other women and children. The rigged klingon, whom was clearly under duress, called out as well, seeking to be freed of his current predicament; his request was granted by the Starfleeters, but not in the way he expected, being beamed to the brig (minus rope and feces (which were removed during the transporter processes))(Tutuila has a four cell brig (brig now full)).
