MGM Weighs In On Hobbit

Why would this Director want to leave this franchise?
Because Peter Jackson believes New Line underpaid him for his work on the LOTR films. So he filed a lawsuit more than a year ago.Quote:

New Line wanted Peter Jackson to be committed to the Hobbit film before they can continue to resolve the lawsuit. That's like an employer is witholding your paycheck until you sign up to two more years of service.
FYI, MGM disagrees with New Line for letting Peter Jackson go, and Mr. Saul Zaentz, president of Tolkien Enterprise (owner of LOTR and Hobbit film rights) supports Peter Jackson, and so does actor Sir Ian McKellan.
New Line is now rushing to get into production because their license to produce the Hobbit film expires next year. If that happens, Mr. Saul Zaentz will team up with MGM and PJ to do the Hobbit films.
Hmm what can we do to distract New line for a year? ! :D
Follow any rumor as to who New Line might hire as a director for Hobbit. Then appeal to the potential director not to take the job.Quote:

Peter Jackson will do the films.

Get the lowdown on why Peter Jackson isn't on board (at least not yet) for ''The Hobbit.''

Yeah, I summed it up in an earlier post, Jem'hadar.
And not only Ian McKellan but Elijah Wood have also voiced support for PJ to do the Hobbit film.
Greed will be the doom of us all... hope PJ wakes up and realizes the legacy he can leave!

P.S. No editors were harmed in the posting of this post. Unless, of course, you're an editor reading this post. Then your sense of pride may have been harmed. If such is the case, please get a sense of humour. If such is not the case, well then, why are you reading this far? Throw this post in the slush garbage bin you glorified proofreader! ;)
P.P.S. Oh, and yeah, PJ should direct the Hobbit! See, I can be on topic. Damn editors.
I wish I hope I a may I might see the friggin PJ's hobbit before I am 40... sheesh
