Hey, long time. Glad the forum is still here. Thought maybe folks here would like a gander at my Star Trek conversion for the OSR game Stars Without Number by Kevin Crawford of Sine Nomine...

An empty spot at DriveThruRPG.com for future Star Trek products? Could the Coda system PDFs be coming back, or PDFs...
When I went to your site, GoB, I couldn't download the starship sheet for some reason.
I got "File not found"ed.
Can you maybe help? Even just e-mail it to me?
Posted 8 new pages of miniatures!
The last 4 are "fleet builders", i.e. mostly repeats of a given ship. But the others are all new and different.
Also, did a few minor revisions to a few of...
E-mailed, and thank you, TFVanguard!
I will work on more miniatures as time allows.
Glad you like them, Renny. I was using the old Star Trek Micro Machines for some starship battles, but they're getting expensive and difficult to find now, even on EBay.
I may produce more pages...
On <a href="http://www.geocities.com/tormento_khan/trek.html">my Coda Star Trek RPG</a> website, I have listed 5 pages of tent-fold, paper miniatures I created.
Be warned, they're largish JPG...
"Player-controlled NPCs" is kind of a contradiction in terms, isn't it?
Another thing to keep in mind is, this seems likely to slow the game down drastically.
You're talking about a lot of...
This is a nifty idea!
Generally, even if I (strongly) ask the players to fill out the questionnaire, I reward the players for the trouble taken in doing so (a free Advancement, or some such). In...
It seems you're awfully close to saying that, using questionnaires is bad, or useless, Narrator technique.
I could just as easily say that if you don't use questionnaires, you're a bad Narrator....
Even if you don't require the PCs to answer the questionnaire, I also use the questionnaire for important NPCs. After all, the less random information you have to make up "on the fly", the easier...
Cool!
The questionnaire I posted above is actually a condensed version of another questionnaire I use for most RPGs., which is actually 100 questions long. I discovered, though, that that...
I like to have such a good, long list of questions because our group plays many different RPGs off and on, some of which (D&D) focus more on killing stuff than on roleplaying and drama.
All are...
I disagree that I've automatically predetermined the answer. On reflection, I agree that "organized religion" has fewer negative connotations than "dogmatic religion", but my players that enjoy...
Yes, that is correct, but I placed this in the Ready Room because it shouldn't be at all hard to use the tables for other systems.
The way I will use the tables in Coda Trek is,
<ul>
...
Oh yes, I knew I forgot something. Apply modifiers to the Main Table (not the Events Tables) as follows:
-2: Served in Starfleet.
+1: Served in Cardassian Central Command.
+2: Served in Romulan...
This is a simple random tour-of-duty generation table, for helping players determine what they've done for the previous, many years of their careers.
Random Tour of Duty, Main Table
0 or less =...
I'm preparing once again to run Coda Trek, and so I dug out this questionnaire I wrote up last time I ran the game. It may help your players to flesh out their characters in their minds a little...
And now, Kai Winn, updated on my <a href="http://www.geocities.com/tormento_khan/trek.html">Coda Trek</a> webpage.
That's all of the characters I had originally written up and posted in TXT...
I lurk on these boards a lot more than I post, but ... both Decipher and DriveThru need to get back to work! They have a product, I have money ... where's the problem?
You are...
Martok and Weyoun! have now been posted at my young <a href="http://www.geocities.com/tormento_khan/trek.html">Coda Trek website</a> ...
Finally got around to posting Dukat, and working on Martok (some more) now ... ! :)
Just posted Rom and Nog at <a href="http://www.geocities.com/tormento_khan/trek.html">my Coda Trek site</a>.
Just have to finish Martok, and then I'm on to the bad guys: Winn, Dukat, Damar, and...
Of the whole lot, these two were the hardest to write up. But I did, and now they're at <a href="http://www.geocities.com/tormento_khan/trek.html">the site</a>, all typed in to the new character...
