The Cardassian probes look like goofy miniaturized Galor-class cruisers but they don't say they are fundamentally any different.
But when was the last time you saw or someone mentioned Threat...
If you want to get REALLY out there they could launch standard torpedoes, or perhaps remodelled "anti-ship torps" with "warp booster packs." 20-30 fighters all firing photon torps at once will ruin...
Armored flight decks, on retrospect, have been shown to have a negligable impact on ship survivability.
Are these Starfleet carriers expected to be right in the thick of battle or are they part of...
The Borg have hundreds, if not thousands and thousands of cubes. If the Borg are ever stopped dead in yet another "send one cube to do the job" missions they could always just send an entire armada...
I don't think such a beast exists in canon except for (perhaps) the Peregrine.
I did a quick search and heres some sites I found that have better then average art or material:

I was thinking of Star Fleet Battles, where fighters grew out of first, conventional shuttles, then combat shuttles.
Most units seem to match the following categories from SFB:
1. Shuttles...
What's the difference between a combat shuttle and a fighter?
I'm just being a nitpicker http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/wink.gif
All in all I'm sure forcefields work just fine. But in a power critical situation it might be a good idea.
One thing I'm...
I know I already commented on this but I was flipping through some other books and spotted some things I could use as feedback. I've fixed some of the spelling and reworded a few things inside the...
I sent in my entry a while ago and heard nothing back. Is the contest still ongoing?
The Deep Space Nine Technical Manual notes that many standard probe designs have been updated from their previous levels (that is, Season 3 Star Trek: TNG). Here are my proposed game rules (Steve?)
...
They DID have the rights but due to a variety of factors (such as the FASA writers being unwilling to follow canon and FASA releasing books that were not approved) it became a big hassle and FASA...
If you're talking about scanning the pics from the FASA books then I would suggest contacting FASA at fasainfo@aol.com.
I'm not sure what there new "General" email address is.
I would not...
Even better if the changes could be made in the document then the corrected pages "cut out" so we can print the corrected pages and put them in our binders or whatnot. That way we don't have a big...
If they can give holodecks their own generators I'm sure the converse is true for the proposed carrier systems. But crashwebs and the like are appropriate since the shuttles don't actually land at...
Why bother with arresting wires and all that 19th century technology when you can use tractor beams to move everything around? Saves space at the expense of power.
Well organic ships must have some pretty hefty advantages over conventional technology!
1) You can't replicate lifeforms -thus it would be a pain to repair the ships (you can't replicate spare...
Hmm, bio-organic ships... maybe I'll work on that.
I'd like to see the Romulan book personally. I'm burnt out on Klingons from the series.
Well either Romulan or a Borg book.... http://www.trekrpg.net/Board/ubb/wink.gif
Greg,
Ah ok I misread that. The other comments still stand though as for how "large" it makes the vessel for other purposes. A large spacedock may not have much material used in construction but...
Since the open frame dock wis wel...open framed I would suggest a smaller multiplier for the SU cost, perhaps .01 x SU Capacity to represent the structural framework.
Thus if you want a Spacedock...
The actual SU requirements for open frame docks (as seen in the shows) would be interesting to work out. There should probably be an SU cost per how many SU's of a vessel can fit inside.
Shops and...
Just a note: Spacedock gives a different template for Emergency Medical Hologram. In addition, has the author discussed working with the Borg author? Perhaps moving the Cyborg rules completely to the...
Well they don't get ALL of their members through assimilation. They probably use the females "off screen" as breeding stock except for those exceptional ones (or mutants not suited for breeding use)....
