Well. Its LotR related anyway, but move this to General Chat if need be.

I am looking for images/Screen captures of Gothmog from the Return of the King. This would be the Movie version of Gothmog, as in the large deformed Orc that served as Castillian of Minas Morgul and led the Armies at Osgalith through to the walls of Minas Tirith (rather than the original Gothmog, who was apparently the King of the Balrogs from my web searches)

These need to be reasonably good pics as I need them as reference for painting the new Games Workshop figure.

Anyone know of any or have any they can point me at?

That is certainly the fella. Quite the charmer.

Thats a good pic, better than the small blurred head-shot found elsewhere, so I can get skin-tones right. Shame theres no wider shot available, for his armour/costume.

Mind you this internet trawl did reveal that Gothmog was played by the same guy who also filled Lurtz and the Witch-Kings boots. Which I had not known before.

    !!!!!

I slap myself for not having seen that before!

(Scene: at the Pellenor) Gothmog turns to the Witch-King, realization and wrath animating his features: "YOU WERE A BAD MOMMY!!" Hoists the Black Captain over his head and throws him into the nearest fire pit, and running to the Forces of the West, his new friends, saving the day. When last we see him, he is dressed as a Corsair, and sailing away in the black ship. Sam turns to Frodo, loaded down with gold and jewels... "Now we never have to move away from the Shire, Mr. Frodo!" He sucks on his inhaler in asthmatic triumph.

The MOMENT that guy came on screen that is EXACTLY what I thought. I absolutly abhore the design of this character and it totally drops me out oif the movie EVERY time I see it. I can't wait for the ROTK:EE edition so I can hear "samwise" talk about Baby Ruth's in the actor commentaries.

No to what? You asked for a image and got one. If you are looking for a "better" image, I would think that folks would have posted one if they had one.

I wuld look in one of those artsy LOTR-ROTK movie books, such as: the ROTK Visiual Companion or something like that. There's also a book on the arms and armour of the movie I believe. Maybe you can find one there.

Also look to see if there's a miniature for the figure in the TMG or the GW line...the GW line has several books out about thier minis with a lot of pics from the movies.

    Luck.
