    Outstanding, thanks Phoenix. Really appreciated.

& ICON's perfect, that's what i'm currently working with, never used CODA, & my players don't like FASA for some obscure reason

I'm sure there is a way to convert them Space_Cadet. Sundowner glad you like them, just wish I remembered who the author of the first three is, as for the Cruiser we can thank Patrick Murphy for his work.

    Question?

How do you say their names? What do they sound like or how do you RP them? What color is there fur (are the like Ewoks or Wookies where they have different color furs perhaps to indicate age or race?)?

    RE KZINTI

At a distance the a Kzin looks like a large orange tabby cat..............In general thier fur is orange-red fur that varies in co lor, yellow, white or black markings around the eyes. Thier paws are colored like black gloves. Names are prounonced like this : the patriarch is always have the suffix of RIIT(pronounced kinda like RRR eye IT) Chuft (prounced like CH as in chocolate UFT like uff in puff with a hard 'T' sound) Kzint honor: Kzinti honor is not affected by distance or even time. A Kzinti who is insulted remain insulted until he has carried out his vengeance, apolpgized or died. Kzinti do not make open threats nor do they bluff(sometimes, though rarely they do) unintended insults are often taken AS intended....requiring combat. Kzinti do not sell thier honor, ever. I hope this answers you questions.

This is great - especially since I've done something similar many years ago, when my group was still playing FASA Trek. I've tried to cram the Kzin War history from the Ringworld RPG into the Star Trek timeline, which was a hell of a headache.
Nice to see that the Kzinti aren't forgotten! Great work, Hunter and Phoenix.
BTW, what are the "Tzenkethi"? Never heard of them.

That's the difference between warriors and soldiers. Kzin seem to be individual glory seekers... I see thyem much like the Orions in David Webber's Starfire series.

    That's a fair distinction.

Personally, I'd consider Honor to be equivalent to a professional ability (3 picks), but that's me...

I'm currently going over My ringworld, Man Kzin Wars, and Star Trek Log 10 to get a feel for the Kzin. I should be able to sneak in a personality profile a little later on tonight.

    Personality profile

    PERSONALITY
Kzinti (Kzin) are murderously aggressive by any reputable standard within the Alpha Quadrant. Where as a Klingon might be considered aggressively temperamental for reasons of honor or glory, the Kzinti are aggressive for reasons of natural and somewhat re-engineered biology that makes them predators with few piers. They view all other species as, quite literally, potential prey to be killed or eaten, and give little thought in dealings with other species other than sizing them up for potential conquest and literal consumption. That being said, the Kzinti’s own highly refined predatory instincts and general disposition to charge into combat with very little thought once it is imitated seems to keep the population somewhat in check. Much to the relief of the rest of the galaxy at large.
While the Kzinti are intelligent, their predatory instincts are constant overlaid on their thought patterns, which tend to stunt more inquisitive behaviors in favor of direct action, or as they say, “Scream and Leap”, leading to behavior that could be best described as exceptional brave or determined, suicidal by less generous individuals. Predation amongst the Kzinti is a fairly common occurrence and cannibalism of the defeated in any combat is the usual end result, though there have been exceptions to this rule if the Kzinti is feeling generous. Trophy taking from a defeated enemy is common, and the most common trophy is a string of ears on a belt worn by Kzin warriors. It should also be noted that Kzinti do not differentiate between able bodied warriors and civilians, as all are prey, except if they are planning to take slaves and capture territory for themselves or their leadership.
That being said, Kzinti are relatively fair, if harsh rulers of their slave populations. As long as the subject population remains respectful of the Kzin in question, they will not be particularly harsh to them, only killing an eating those who are disrespectful, or manage to irritate them. There are exceptions to this rule, but they are relatively few and far between.
