I'm probably the only one to have the Insurrection theme in there - but then I'm probably the only Trekkie to actually like the movie!

Well I won't go into theme music, but I believe that the best piece of music for an episode (make that a 2 parter) has to be the music written for Best of Both Worlds. Very well written and mood enhancing.

The main reason I didn't rank Insurrection was that I have a book of sheet music that came out before Insurrection. From memory, I kind of like the Insurrection theme song.

I must disagree with the Almighty Don.

I prefer the DS9 theme to any of the other shows. TNG is Second, with a tie for last in VOY and TOS. And I grew up with TOS reruns.

As for film scores, First Contact is my fav. ST6 is next, with ST2 a close third.

The original Enterprise theme always gets me- not the TOS theme, the theme they play when the Enterprise is approaching. Following that, STMP opening theme and the Klingon theme from STMP. Love that stuff!
