Actually, IMO, that is a wardrobe error. If you look at the insignia you will see that it is a lieutenant's bar, turned the wrong way. I would doubt very highly that it represents an entire new rank, it is just pinned on wrong. I could be wrong and your mileage may vary

One more photomanip, also courtesy of Lancer, though it looks like the rank may be wrong on this one as well. That aside, the character is in the right universe at last.

And of course, thanks to Lancer for putting it together.

As the Vulcans say: "We are here to serve".
As I may have mentioned before, my imagination works on images and visual impressions more than anything else, so I did this at least as much to help my own imagination, as I did it for you.

And I think you may be right about the rank, but than again, who cares, at least as long as the image has you believe the person realy belongs in the universe she is supposed to belong?

And a (more or less unrelated) question for Aslan: Do the UST uniforms have the "time in service" bars on the sleeve or not? Not that it matters much - if any - but I must confess I am at least a little curious about who has been with Starfleet for how long.

I never thought that much about them to be honest.

I suppose they could be there in the end. If that is what everyone wants.

    Campaign Notes

Okay here is a the thing... I am about to take the game in a new direction. I tend to be an organic/fluid ref and the current situation has presented me with an idea of a way to go that might not be exactly what everyone signed up for.

Talking with Lancer on ICQ got me to the warning that I should talk with everyone first before jumping ahead like that.

So if the game were to take an unexpected twist, would anyone be upset? It might mean characters are foreced into new rolls, or situations that they were not originally intended.

    Questions? Thoughts? Feelings? Monkey?

If it's something you really want to do there is not much use in not doing it. While I like the original concept for the game pretty much, having a happy gamemaster who can make the most of his creativity is even more important IMO.

As long as you don't place someone in a position where the character might feel useless because he lacks the skills to fill the new role that's fine by me.

I pretty much echo what Lancer said, as long as we're not talking sci-fi universe crossovers.

Weighing in at last, sorry about the delay (week long business trip followed by "we really need you to come in over the weekend...")

No real objections, so long as you're not taking off at 90 degrees to everything that's come before, and the characters aren't thrust into roles that are wholely incompatable with their concepts. Care to drop any general hints?

Of course, if you've decided that Deep Star 6 has been swallowed by THAT DAMN FISH!, answers may change...

    Heh.

I'm actually planning to use it in the Academy game I run for the weekly group around here. They may be expecting the Kobayashi Maru, but they'll never be ready for THAT DAMN FISH!

    Bridge display

[thought I had asked this, but couldn't find it]
Aslan, is there a bridge model we can use to judge where stations are at on the bridge of the Bannockburn?

http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/gallery/bridges1.htm has many of the drawings from Star Trek: The Magazine.

    Just curious...

Use the Ent (movie era, not A) as a guideline.
