    Libra Medica

With all problems of Decipher, I am trying to put together a Medical handbook for all the doctors out there, just like Killer Whale dit for starships. I just started in constucting it, but it is progressing slow. I used manny different RPG's to create this book. I have one big problem, that is that english is not my mother language, so any help would be welkom.
This is the first version, and I will post regular updates of this handbook. Any comments or suggestions are more than welkom.

    IKI,

That's some damned good stuff, my friend! I've only given it a quick once-over (I'm at work, and my boss is sitting 3 metres behind me!), but it looks rock-solid.

I'll have a better look at it tonight and get back to you ASAP.

I love what you've done re: criticals, especially. I think I'll be using it in my LotR game - I've always wanted something to reflect the things we see in novels, but are usually unable to get in RPGs. You know, where the hero is badly injured and his companions are racing to get him to a healer...he's getting worse as they're clambering over mountains and riding hard across the plains...

Happens all the time in fiction, but I've only ever been able to pull it off once in 20 years of gaming (AD&D, with 1 hp per hour being done due to poisoning and a mad ride from Hommlet to Verbobonc to find a high-level cleric... )

Anyway...well done, and I'll try to have a better look at it later on.

    Cheers,
When you are dead, you don't know that you are dead. It is difficult only for others.

It's the same when you are stupid...

    Update

It took me a long time to get to it, but here is the first update. Here is a list of what changes I made or new rules I have included in the E book.

    -Armor damage
-Changed the critical hit tables a little bit (Includes spinal
    damage)
-Added armor bonus to resist Critical
    -Falling damage
    -Changed some Medical prcedures
-New rules for some medical equipment
    -New medical equipment

The next update will be in two weeks, until than ask question, and comments or suggestions are more than welkom.

But I have a little question for those guys that already made a Star Trek E book (or are constructing one). Which Fonts do you guys use (it would be a great help)?

    Great work IKI

You might want to check the spelling of the words (I know its not your native language, i just noticed a couple of spelling mistakes)

This is valuable work you have done. I agree with 98% of what you changed just the Injury effect table i slightly tweaked for my game. (see my thread on house rules)

As for critical hits (don't get me started..LOL )
I see ur using a modified version of the players option rules from 2nd edition ad&d. For me I like blaster Law from Iron crown.com....but hey everyone has there own taste in how the game should be run. Even having said that I use practically use all your medical rules with iron crown critical hits tables.

    keep up the good work
