Does anyone know just how to reach the matter/antimatter reaction chamber? I'd really like to know.

Gee, on most ships you merely tell any turbolift to take you to main engineering - they're voice activated...
Are you sure you have the right Board? Are you looking for info on a computer game, or just wondering what the layout of a particular ship is? If the former, there may be someone here who can help you, but you'll have to indicate what game you're playing. If the latter, some of the ships have been designed to that level of detail, but again you'll have to specify the individual ship.
If you're looking for a particular section of the TrekRPG.net site, there isn't one that goes by that name. You can try going to the main page at http://www.trekrpg.net/trek/index2.htm which will give you links to the various parts of the site.

oh, you see, I'm trying to design (by hand drawings) a model of a starship (none in particular, its an original ship) for a webpage my friend owns. However I've been having a little trouble with the interior. I came here to see if anyone knows how to get to the reacton chamber for any ship so as I can use it just for reference of where the location of the one I'm illustrating should be.
However, I may just be better off making it up.
Ah, OK, you're talking general principles...
The core is generally positioned vertically in the rough centre of the secondary hull. For ships with no secondary hull, we've less information, but on the Defiant, it's towards the rear of the ship. On really small ships, it's a small installation mounted horizontally along the fore/aft axis above the ceiling or below the deck and is accessed by hatches.
On a regular ship (i.e. size 3+), the core tends to be 3 or more decks high and passes through main engineering. Matter (deuterium) tanks are usually above it and antimatter bunker below it just inside the hull. When you see the glowing, pulsing column in the middle of main engineering in TNG or Voyager, that's the warp core. The bulge in the middle with the hatch containing the dilithium crystals is the actual matter/antimatter reaction chamber.
You can see a schematic drawing of a warp core by going to http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/ and clicking on "Treknology Encyclopedia L-Z." Scroll down to "W" and check out the entry for "Warp Core."
Hope this helps.
Owen's probably too humble to say this, but he put together some pretty sweet deck plans for the Oberth class ship! They should be located in the computer core! Check 'em out!
I don't think they're in the Core yet, but I believe Owen's said that the plans will be on his Star Trek:Relic site when he finishes overhauling it<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by Dave Biggins:

Long Tom
The Star Trek: Relic site is taking a lot longer (and I currently have a lot less time) than I'd expected.
HOWEVER, I've uploaded the Oberth material. This was done last fall, so it doesn't reflect info from the latest issue of Star Trek, The Magazine.
The URL is: http://www.coldnorth.com/owen/owen/oberth/oberth.htm - enjoy!
