According to a short blurb over at IMDb's news service, Viacom has reorganized itself in a number of ways. Of interest is the fact that consumer products will now be run through Nickelodeon, it's children's network. Formerly, this division was run by Paramount.
It's hard to be sure what effect this will have on either the existing Trek game, or any future Trek game. But it seems to me that having the consumer products division run by the same company that makes the "parent" product (the television shows and movies) has to be better than having that responsibility at another, perhaps semi-autonomous division.
