Post Job ad: Looking for a translator

    Hi all,

Well, since I know this community is devoted to RPGs, I figured I'd post this here for now... After all, it's better to work with someone you already know

The RPG company I'm involved in is looking for a French to English translator. Of course, this would be paid work - although we cannot offer skyrocketing rates, but we are looking to establish a stable and ongoing work relationship with this person.

Familiarity with RPGs is of course mandatory. Ideally, English (or American English) should be your mother tongue.

Beginners in the translation field can apply, but a good command of both languages is required (unless you are an established professional, we'll ask for a sample translation test).

If you are interested, or would like more information, you can contact me at: ld (at) ew-studio.com

You're not translating material for an RPG called "In Nomine," for Steve Jackson Games, are you?

I love that game, and I know it's originally a French RPG (so don't say that there's nothing French I like!)

Naah, that'd be too much for me to hope for, for them to revitalize the line with new material...

Hee hee, good guess, but... no

We're a small RPG business (one of the last professional businesses standing here) with an OGL system of our own, very well accepted here after only one year of existence. Our web site (in French) is here: www.ew-studio.com if you'd like to take a look.

Sounds like "My fair lady", 40 years later .

Obviously we have a lot to catch up in the "classic TV refrences" department, KM .

But that's nice as it means there are still a few things from the MP I haven't seen yet .

Aaah I get it thanks, I saw the corresponding sketch a while ago, moreover... Looks like it's a problem of memory

Ah Calcoran, don't we wish Arte would just broadcast again the MP?

Yes, it is a problem of memory.

It's especially a problem because things like that sketch stay in my brain forever, but I can never remember important stuff like Calculus formulae or what kind of tires I have on my car.
