Deckplan design guidelines

I've posted a synopsis of the Design in Detail figures from the 1^st edition FASA Ship Construction Manual on the Behind the Scenes section of my webpage. These are useful enough (and so desperately needed by many fannish ship designers) that I figured I'd put 'em where everyone can get at them.

Only the actual figures are given, in accordance with Fair Use doctrines of copyright law - for all the colour text and actual design rules you'll need to get hold of a copy of the book.

The figures are system-irrelevant, so they can be used with any Trek rules set.

I really find this useful, at least as a starting point or as a checklist for important components one might have forgotten.

Fairly useful, thanks Owen.. I don't think it's you, but then it's not really anyone here, as Owen hasn't personally criticised any of the members deckplans in the past

Oh, it's nobody here, but there's a lot of real crap on the web. It's not just fan designers, either - a lot of game publishers are just as bad. FASA, even though they wrote the chapter I based this table on, was an extreme example of bad deckplan design.
