eh, my questions about Don are answered and I don't need to know any more on the subject than Doug said. As far as I'm concerned.

This assumes, for even a fraction of a second, that Decipher could be capable of telling the truth to anybody, even their own people. I personally lack the confidence to believe that.

This isn't to say that I wouldn't like some of the books that they were talking about, but at this point I can't believe a word they say. There will have to be a book on a shelf for me to believe that they're going to publish something at this point.

I appreciate the thought, but no, I haven't been working on Trek. I haven't been doing any commerical writing, just some personal stuff that may or may not see print.

In this regard I know very little more than the rest of you regarding Trek. I'll call Scott and try to wrangle out some details. Based on what I've heard, all negotiations to move the Trek license failed or were turned down; Decipher will be announcing that they'll be publishing Trek books again (clearing the existing queue) much like they announced with LotR.

What happens after the queue runs dry I don't know. (But I'll ask.)

As for the other stuff, I've just been working and enjoying life. Not to derail the thread, but in March there will be a new addition to the Mappin family, a boy.

Oh, and re: hi all! Hope I'm still welcome in these parts.

Nice to hear from you, Don. Nice of you to offer to use your Vesala on our behalf.

A kid is what it sounded like Doug was talking about.

You're wondering about you still being welcome??

As for myself, it it nice to be back. Don's the first one to give any clear indication of remembering me. I've been back for a fewe weeks or so. Maybe someone (me?) needs to start or revive a welcome back thread for this sort of thing? Or was that era too long ago... There wasn't an active one when I first returned.

But enough of that I guess.

Congrats on the new Mappin, Don! And, AFAIC, I think that you would ALWAYS be welcome around these parts!

Ummm... Sorry, Cochrane. It's good to have you back, too. No, really. Honest.
