They're really stretching that "next week" estimate. Any news?

Doug,
Its not you that I doubt, or any member of this board...
Its Decipher.

No worries on that score. It just gets a little irksome to be asked "is there news?" when you have already made promises to post any news received. That's all.Originally Posted by templartiger

I know the feeling...
Decipher has not treated its customer base with the respect they deserve. They have been consistantly evasive, promising things to come, and collectively giving the Trek community the silent treatment.
To state the Trek RPG community as a whole is burned by this.. company... is stating the plain obvious.
We all have been patient (at this rate some of us should be sainted by now), and we all must continue to do so.

Hey, Doug, I understand. It's not that we don't think that you will post news right away when you hear it... of course you will.Originally Posted by Doug Burke

In other words, we expect them to completely screw it up.
Again.
No reflection on you.
Whoa, whoa, no snarkiness intended at all, Doug. Just asking.Originally Posted by Doug Burke

it will be great if you release us the info before decipher officially does to the public. it would have also been great if you told us an announcement was forthcoming as i passed on last week.Originally Posted by Doug Burke

I agree, Renny. Doug has been fantastic about shuttling communication from Dec. to us. He does so in at least a semi-official capacity. To ask him to jeapordize his standing with Dec. to provide us with that info before he is able to is just wrong.
Just my twin coppers.
Keep up the good work, Doug!
decipher often lets their faithful volunteers (myself included) in on information before its made public with the intention of letting us break the news, tell our local players, etc. sometimes its only hours ahead of time, other times more. i simply was saying if decipher tells doug and says he can run with it (as i'm sure he was and/or is privy to some stuff at times and is used to checking what he can say), then to tell us. decipher's web annoucements are scheduled in advance and he may be allowed to pass on the info before kathy gets a free chance to post it.
Jened, many of us have known Doug for quite some time now (on the order of a couple years, mind you), and we know that if he had information he could share with us, it would already have been posted by now. In this venue, at least, his integrity is beyong reproach.
