    New LotR material coming!

Hey Guys, I haven't been around here for a while, but I thought I'd pop back what with the Mongoose/Trek rumours flying around.

Thought you might be interested in this: http://www.decipher.com./content/200...trrpg2005.html

Here's hoping that Star Trek gets the same treatment.

You know, that really hurt, what with my jaw hitting the floor and all Here's looking forward to Helm's Deep and their mass combat rules. And yes, please let ST get the same treatment.

If this is accurate, I'm very happy to know that the books I've been praising for the past year will finally come out so everyone can see them.

    Yes!

Now this is just proof the hopes can come true...

Will we possibly be getting a RotK sourcebook to round out the movie sourcebooks?

    One can only hope.

Now, if they'll just keep the same good news coming for ST as well...

Speaking as a third of that book's writing staff, I sure hope we get to see it!

However, I think it was one of the books least furthest along in the production cycle, so I really don't know. The release said we'll get a release every 8 weeks after April, so that means a total of 5 books in 2005, starting with Paths of the Wise: The Guide to Magicians and Loremasters.

I suspect the other four will be Fields of Battle: The Guide to Warriors and Barbarians, Helm's Deep, Rohan: Realm of the Horse-Lords, and Isengard.

As I've said before regarding Decipher: I'll believe this when I start seeing product. Perhaps not even then.

    Unhappy I have my doubts

Well, we all knew from a few different sources they had a lot of material done for both Star Trek and the LOTR rpg lines already. I wouldn't put it past Decipher to put out what they already have and be done with it in a blink of an eye next year. I hope this is not the case. But I'm just getting that funny feeling of make some quick cash and run from them. I want them to prove me wrong.
