    Nemesis’s Sovereign-class Enterprise-e

    NEMESIS’S SOVEREIGN-CLASS ENTERPRISE-E

In the Star Trek magazine (Issue # ) the increase in the Enterprise-E’s weapons was a note that I saw. While constructing the Klingon Qang-Class Starship (a.k.a. “Chancellor-class”) Spacedock we discussed the Sovereigns up grades and what we could do. We realized that the new additional parts were substantial add ones to the Enterprise in some area’s and non essential in other area’s.
It took only an hour or so but we constructed the Nemesis’s new version of the Sovereign-class Enterprise-E with the little we knew about the upgrades and how they worked and what they were. It is basically the same as the version in the spacedock version with the exception that the new weapons have been added without an increase to the ships SU’s.
With the new additional 166 SU’s are pushing the SU’s over the top. At the end I listed the optional parts that I could have installed into the vessel in place of the new systems that I did.

    Description notes:
During the last days of Dominion War the Enterprise-E was retrofitted with additional weapons and Shuttlebays. The additional Phaser strips added to the warp nacelles supports structures for above and below fire arcs increased coverage during battle. An enlarged shuttlebay allowing for storage of additional shuttlecrafts, runabouts and specialized for missions. The Sovereign-class Enterprise-E was one of the first upgraded in design. The additional power systems to power all the systems in combat.

Author’s Notes: The italicized notes that the these are addition added after the Movie Star Trek: Insurrection. The Two Phaser Strips on the Trailing edges of the Warp nacelles' pylons. These give an excellent firing angles on any ship above, below or directly behind. Only minor firing patterns on the Starboard and Port due to the nacelles. Yet the saucer phaser strips can cover blind spots on the pylons.
The Photon Torpedo launchers added were really just an addition not needed but allows the ship to fire more than one shot on a target. The multiple launchers are capable of targeting four more targets and firing simultaneously.
Some of these additional weapons are basically useless that they are not needed and can be removed as there are covered by other weapon systems. These additions would faster deplete the power and weapons loads from the ship. With the new weapons I looked over the optional systems and finally chose the systems that are installed into the ship that are and below I have listed the optional vessels that I could have used in stead of the ones I did.

For some reason the Issue number did not come out on my screen. Which issue of the Star Trek Magazine are the upgrades from?

    Thanks.

The star Trek Issue is one of the last theat were published and it is only a quarter page picture that is at the bottom of the page. it might be the Nemisis issue. My magazines are not at hand right this moment to tell you the exact issue.

    I have it finally

With some free time to reorganize my stuff I pulled out the magazine and can give you guys the answers the previous questions.

Well Here's the Issue that I used for the Weapons Additions to the Soverign-class Enterprise-E. It is the Febuary 2003, Volume 3 Issue 10, on pages 16 through 25, the Behind the Scenes artical Star Trek Nemesis Starship Designs .

Pages 18 and 19 are the main pages that had the weapons upgrade pictures. Well documented placement drawings of the launchers
