I thought the episode was pretty good. It gets into Archer's backstory a little bit more, develops new canon without destroying the old, and shows the evolution of T'Pol and thus allows us to get a glimpse of what is probably happening across Vulcan; that is, a fundamental reevaluation of beliefs.

I give it a 7. Next week's looks if-fy....

I quite liked the episode myself. I liked Archer's internal struggle once he learned the truth and for the subtlety of character evolution quite enjoyed it. It may well be my favorite episodes and it certainly gets if not the highest rating close to the highest I have given at a seven.
