Greetings,
While statting out Cardassian ships for an upcoming space battle, I realized that there is no statistical difference between the Keldon and Galor classes. According to the Starships book the statistics are the same. So if that is the case then why did the Cardassians bother to build the Keldon at all?

umm....the Keldon does have 200 more troops...but the cloaking device they use has been forgotten

Of course this does not mean that the Order did not make a copy of the Romulan Cloak, or fit such a copy to their own vessels, in fact such an outcome is very in-keeping with their style.
As is the fact that the Order would likely guard such a cloaking device jealously, especially from those fools in the Cardassian military!

The number of torpedoes in the CODA system is irrelevent. I think the true answer is bad editing/logic. Starship is great for the rule add-ons (the 1st part) but the other part sucks big time. Most of the stats, as many seem to think, make very little sense. That is why there are so many re-stated ships on this board that were in Starships.
