Berman Denies Trek Rumors

Rick Berman, executive producer of all Star Trek films and series since the death of Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, denied to SCI FI Wire the validity of the rampant Internet rumors that suggest Paramount Pictures disliked his concept for a new movie, was sending him back to the drawing board and thus had put a proposed Star Trek XI on the back burner.

Of course he's going to deny it, and if he doesn't he'll sugar coat it enough so that it looks good for him. Remember, it's his carrear that we're talking about, and if he doesn't look like he's in control, he's no longer worth having around.
