Angry “Keep drawing me this way buster…”

ARRRRGGGG!!!...We just got rid of one ‘bad idea’ gone horribly wrong, only now to have another set to start:
    http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...tv_loonatics_2

I know that sometimes a license must be revised/revisited once and a while (to keep it 'fresh' or 'hip'), and sometimes it works: Smallville, Battlestar Galactica,…
But many more times it doesn’t: the ‘New’ Love Boat, the ‘New’ Fantasy Island, the ‘New’ Enter…er, moving on…

The saddest thing of all is I found out about this on my local news via a story from a major news’ coverage. In said report, the reporter showed cels to kids (the target demographic). The younger girl cried, and her older brother said (and I’m quoting), “He (‘Buzz Bunny’) looks evil”…and this is from the TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC?!?!

I just hope that Kids WB will 'see the light' before it's too late...
...and that's about the time it hit the fan...

    Truisms I know:
    1) Marvel is NOT better than DC (nor should EVERYTHING be ‘ULTIMITED’),
    2) D20 is NOT the best gaming system out there (nor should EVERYTHING be ‘crammed’ into it),
    3) And No matter how ‘THEY’ dress it up, Regardless of how ‘THEY’ title it, and even if ‘THEY’ say “BASED ON…”; “ENTERPRISE” IS NOT STAR TREK!!!
    4) 'Reality' T.V. ain't 'Real'

One thing to keep in mind is this isn't a "re-imagining;" it's a new cartoon of a futuristic superhero group formed by the descendants of the Looney Toons characters (that's how I interpreted the online articles that described the show).

I think people are making too big of a deal of this thing. The media certainly is.

    Hmmmm.......'Loony Toons Gothic'????

As I have said before, there is not enough oddness in the world. If there was, this would make sense!

    Cheers

Sorry. That depends on the kids, not us geezers.

I tried before. Going against Barney. (Why do we need a purple dinosaur when the Sesame Street muppets are good enough?) It ain't fun.

I think even kids know when something has been designed by committe to 'appeal to them' it's like watching your grandad wearing a shellsuit - just plain wrong

I'm not sure what demographic this is aiming for. For older kids they are going to be too uncool, for younger kids not cuddly enough..

    Can anyone say 'Poochy' ?

I agree. Those character designs are creepy and too angular. Yuck!

Yeah, that lasted 30 seconds here...and the kids are all off to bed.

I dunno, that could've been done without an F-Bomb every 3 seconds. It just wasn't funny.

I think that was the point... I doubt whoever put that together was _supporting_ the new bunny.

Isn't Itchy and Scratchy descended from Tom and Jerry?

No Itchy and scratchy were descended from the Simspons, which was descended from the Tracey Ulman show
