Casting Help

Hey all,

The player of Thomas Ian Lowell in my campaign has decided he wants to
change actors who play the roguish Lt. Cmdr.

Currently he is played by Ben Browder... but he is searching for a new look.

The basic requirements are as follows...

1] Handsome male
2] Devilish or slightly cocky looking
3] Late 20's to mid 30's but a young mid 30's
4] Available headshots

Hrm, how about that David guy from the BtVS spinoff Angel. Seems he fits the requirements.

That would be David Boreanaz. He'd be a good choice, especially if you find some shots of him not looking so angsty, Like when the Angelus persona is in charge.

Maybe David Banna, the guy from the Hulk fiasco and Troy?

Or Christian Bale?

Just throwing out some guys I know my female friends find handsome that fit the criteria.

Does it have to be an actor? Why not just choose an image from a Sears catalogue or whatever, and make up a persona on your own.

Or is the point of the game that you're playing an actor playing a Star Trek character? I'm a little unclear on this.

Oh, i forgot, Hugh Jackman (overused but hey...)

And some of the guys from Space: Above and Beyond were pretty cocky...and if you find some pics, they might even be in flight suits.

Christian Bale would me by among my choices, too.

Or what about that guy frm "The Pretender" (Michael T. Weiss, me thinks) I used him for my character in a BtVS RPG series.

Perhaps Alec Newman (played Paul Atreides in the Dune Mini Series from 2000, the Later Images of Muad'Dib have this slighly cocky look, but then you might have to do something about the glowing blue eyes)

How 'bout Ron Livingston from Band of Brothers, Swingers, and Office Space?

Thought of him (and Christian Bale) and Ron is not attractive enough for the player's tastes, he had thought of Speirs though (Matthew Settle), but he is hard to find good pics of.

Bale was a good choice, but he was already used by the player for another character so he doesn't want to repeat.

Also we thought of Captain Jack (John Barrowman) but he is even harder to find than Settle is

In the end, it looks like unless something really really presents itself, we are gonna stick with Ben Browder... not really a bad choice to begin with IMHO.

I guess this is where someone seguays into mentioning Ben's upcoming role on Stargate this season, starting in a couple of weeks.

I think they should drive Farscape fans nuts and have their characters HATE each other! I mean no hope ever of them getting together...ever!

I think they should get the actor that Played Scorpious (Wayne Pilgrim sp.?) to play a villian on the show; Scorpy was a great bad guy; reminded me of alot of the Marvel comics villians (Magneto, Dr. Doom, Thanos) who were usually way ahead of the heros, but tended to lend a hand when the crisis threatened their agenda.

You may want to try a younger picture of Gabriel Byrne? Handsome, or so I am told.
How about Colin Farrell? How cocky do you want?
A younger Tom Cruise? Kinda cocky and handsome?
