    How wired are you?

OK, quick question - how many pieces of electronics do you have on your person at this very moment? We're talking MP3 players, cell phones, pacemakers, LED lightup sneakers, whatever, as long as it's physically on you right now.

    Me?
    Digital calculator/databank watch
    128MB data stick
    Cell phone
    PDA

    I suspect I'm about average.

Right now, I have nothing, but then that's because I am getting ready for bed

However normally the only technology item I carry is my new 1 Gig memory stick, my phone and my digital watch, but I doubt that counts (as it just tells the time!)

    Call me low tech, but

    One wristwatch...
And a couple pins and plates built in.

    This depends.

    During the regular work/school day.

    Cell Phone
    PDA
    Calculator
Laptop(yes in my backpack all day long for classes)

I hate to be so wired. It disgusts me to try and talk to 16/17 year old girls and cannot get a word in edge wise because they are screaming to their friends about something. It's like they are married to their cell phones.

I normally carry two cell phones (one for work, one for home) and two thumb drives (one for work, one for personal stuff). That's it for me.

Just my work pager, and a 256Mb jumpdrive on my keychain.

Of course, other people have issues with my refusal to "'modernise," but I don't feel the need to be available to the world at all times.

I must be VERY low-tech then.

My car doesn't have central-locking, hence no remote.

I still use my Motorola V8088 which is ancient.

And I have in my pocket a 64Mb memory stick -- I don't need more.

And a wristwatch? Not a chance -- I hate things around my wrist

Two cells (One work, one personal), pager (work), two thumb drives (256mb, the one for work is secure), Spectralink cordless phone (work), and if I were walking around instead of sitting at my desk, a Compaq tc1100 tablet computer (work). We'll be adding some sort of headset for the IP phone software in the tablet PC Real Soon Now, after they decide if they want to use a cord or bluetooth to connect.

On me right now, nothing, I'm sitting at my desk.

Ususally, my keyless entry, my 512 MB jumpdrive, and my cell phone.

    On a "usual" day:
    LG1300 cellphone
Palm Tungsten C PDA (no mem card -- it's got plenty; Bluetooth & Wireless.)
If I'm going any distance on the bike, a Rio MP3 player.
I hate wristwatches, too, so I have an old, battered analog clip to my belt loop Remington watch (made by the same guys that make Remington firearms and electric razors.)

When at home or out "working":
    The same phone
Toshiba Satelitte M35X (WiFi, Bluetooth capable & DVD) rigged to a high-speed connection through a Motorola Surfboard modem and wirelessly rigged to the network through a D-aLink D-615 wireless Super G hub.

There's also a Sony desktop with printer on the network.
A Philips 33" TV with Magnavox DVD player and an old GoVideo VHS/DVD.
    A Sanyo boombox CD player.
The wife's Sony PDA and cell.

We're in the "wired" category, methinks.
