    This article, while sadly only in German, is about newest Spitzer data, which shows that our galaxy is not an ordinary spiral-galaxy. Its a subtype with two beams in the centre with an extension of 27.000 lightyears.

    the article a ssuch has not munch info on that, it more gives a short summary of the development of the galactic model. But it has a picture of the "new" Milky Way.

    That's odd but cool. I think i prefer the picture of M83 than the artist one as it looks less... ODD!
