    Cassini Class Project Patch

Here is what I have whipped up for the class patch for my custom ship

It is inspired by this image of Mr. Cassini himself

    Schweet.

And likely better than trying to show the Cassini division. Or even the Cassini Saturn Probe.

Very nice, but I think the globe could use a little more contrast.. or perhaps posterising effects?

No, the globe looks good the way it is. However, the combadge/Starfleet symbol slightly bothers me. Since the color scheme of the badge is so different from the other parts of the patch it looks out of place to me.

I'm just nitpicking here. Despite my criticism, I really like it.

Personally, I'd change the triangle to an equilateral, like most of the ones used on the series, and drop the combadge down to centre it in the globe, giving the badge an embossed look rather than full colour.

I have no idea how to do that. As for the equilateral, this is as close as I could get, and I have no idea how to round edges.

If you want to give it a go, I would be very interested in seeing what you came up with.

Here is another stab at it...

Made the traingle more equilateral and changed the colour on the arrowhead.

    Thoughts?

Aslan, if you want to mail me the component parts I can have a stab at it: it's allot easier to do some of that stuff in Illustrator.

Only glitch I can see is with the comm-badge. I think it needs to subdued a little, it draws away from the globe too much.

You might want to gradulant fill, starting with the existing color fading down into a darker blue
