    Poser Play

Posting this here since anyone can play with it. I recieved Poser 6 for my Birthday last week and did this up using Poserworld.com's Intersteller Commander uniform.
If anyone want to use it for a game (FASA, Coda, Decipher, etc) then go ahead.

I think you need more gaffer tape!

That's cool. Poser is something I've always wanted to play on, but the renderer is not all that good looking, for realism anyway

Edit: I can't find this uniform on Poserworld, can you link it?

It's in the subscription area for Poserworld, April 10th.

I've noticed that you can get some realisim out of Poser, you have to really sit down and do the lighting and everything correctly, plus processor/memory is a really big deal on it. I usually don't worry about making them look realistic though, it's a hobby

There's a guy in my old ST game (that Doug ran) who used Poser for all his characters.

It was kinda...freaky. Okay, waaaaay more than freaky. [Cue Google search]

Here's his website. Check your sanity at the door! Enjoy!

Well, these were some of his better efforts. We were inflicted with the not-so-successful ones, too... ::shudders::

Perhaps, but don't equate "poser" ability with "role-playing ability." Every character was a clone of the last.

Tack on his fetish for playing female characters and…well, hot pozer chix for everyone!

Well I can't comment on the guy's rpg ability since I don't know him, but those Poser pics he put up are nice. Basic and under developed, but nice.

IIRC he mainly used Poser 4 figures for his characters, nothing wrong with them but unless you really do some post editing you can see the joint issues in the figures.

Poserworld.com has put up "Space Fleet Officer" clothes (ie TOS uniforms) on the subscription site, not sure if they're putting it on the downloads.

Also for those into Poser, ktaylor has a set of Trek hair and morphs to make the P4 woman & male look like the TOS cast. Also Netherwork's has a set of hair kits out to take it from one figure to another (P4 hair to Vicki 3, etc). Big help if you want to use another set of figures.

Also xcalpro.com has TOS sets and figures (including bridge and transporter room) and dtemachine.com has props for Voyager.

For those intreasted DAZ has come out with a morph pack for their Michael 3 character. Part of the benefit is doing SciFi Aliens. From ones I can tell off the top of my head: Ferengi, Romulan, Klingon, Cardassian, & Bolian.

Will have another picture up later.

With a deal like that, I might just jump in and play with this a little...as if I didn't have a thousand other little things to do....
