As a trained mountain search and rescue member, I have supplies for most of the people within 50 meters of me, except for food. Food, I have between 3-10 day worth depending on the day of the week (if all hell breaks loose on a Sat. morning I'm set for quite a while).
As far as disasters go, blizzards are the big one (1 in last 2 years), followed by tornados (2 near enough to worry about in the last 5 years), Man-made transportation related (1 or 2 in the last 5 years), Earthquake (4.5 about 8 years ago, it was fun), no real flooding within 5 miles of my house. Right up against the mountain side we've had serious land-slides, and flash flooding within the last 2 years.
