    Archetypes in the Players Guide

Posted in both the Decipher forums and www.trek-rpg.net forums.

This might have been brought up before, but my search-fu is weak, and to be honest I'm a little lazy anyway at the moment. Is is just me, or are none of the archetypes in the Players Guide built according to anything resembling the character generation rules presented in the book? Most of those numbers appear to have just been plucked from space, as it were.

Actually, IIRC, they were made correctly, except they weren't given any species skills. I could be wrong, though...

Not so much, amigo. I'm still trying to figure out where they came up with some of the modifiers they were giving people. Reactions were figured wrong, and I couldn't come up with any legitimate way for them to have some of the skill levels they had given the development packages they said they used.

Fortunately, it's not too hard to clean them up and get them right. Got the first two fixed, and should be able to get the other four taken care of tonight. I'll send them to you in email when I get them done.
