Sorry, the F-39 here's the link to the rough profile and the deckplans.

Here's another little something you might be interested in making a greyscale of...

The Vanguard station (AKA Starbase 47), from the new Star Trek: Vanguard books.

(I believe there's an even more detailed schematic in the copy I have at home, I could scan and link to it.)

Edited to add: Interior and to-scale picture

Looking at it again, I'm pretty sure the height is the same (or nearly the same). I think i really like the design, however.

It's just the Sccontary hull that looks taller. Compare the bottom of the secondary hull to the bottom of the deflector dish. that's where the discrepancy is most pronounced.

My handy-dandy ruler says there's just under a 1/16th" difference in height between the front view and the side view, the front being minutely taller.

It also says the secondary hull in the top view should be a full 1/2" longer, to match the side view, based on the length between the end of the impulse engines and the end of the shuttlebay.

    USS Marco Polo Class Cruiser

I decided to redraw this in an attempt to make sense of it. The original was a horrible, horrible drawing from Star Trek: Unlimited, but it was obvious they were TRYING to make a 'TOS Nebula Class' ship... only did it in the worst possible way imaginable I guess.

This cleans up the lines again, and trims things down a bit, though I'm not really happy with it. Unless I get particularly inspired, though, I'm going to leave this one as is... (or maybe pare down the phasers to two mounts instead of three).

Though I have a fixed version of the Taurus already, I'm going to do one more pass on it soonish to make it have more TOS lines, particularly in the pylons. They don't really match the TOS asthetic at all.

    USS Andor Class Torpedo Cruiser

Yep, one of FASA's most well known TMP-era designs. This corrects much of the niggling problems with the drawing of the ship, most notably the sacuer and adding the torpedo bays mentioned in the writeup but left out of the art. 'Armed to the teeth' doesn't quite seem to do this ship justice. On the other hand, there's no way it has the power for all it's got available...

Nice! I was under the impression the Andor had port and starboard firing torpedos as well. Where are those on the ship? Am I missing them, or are they not there?

They do... but , honestly, they shouldn't . I always felt that 8 large launchers was a bit rediculous. But, if you want the port and starboard ones, assume they're FP-1 type and don't need the heavy launcher. (The original art had NO launchers shown)

I noticed the ramscoops on this seem kind of... pointless.

Depends. The ram scoops must involve some sort of electromagnetic (or technobabble) field to draw material into the scoops anyway, as the amount of material that would hit such a small area without such a field would be too small to be worth bothering with. As suh a direct line of site towards the direction of travel is useful but, at Trek levels of technology, probably not essential.

    USS Genser Class Escort Frigate

Usual stuff applies here, one of those infamous 'draw everything diagonally down to the right, then add wings!' designs. Redrew this one twice to get something that didn't suck, as the original art forgot an entire section of hull. Oddly, when finished, this ship looks more at home in the TNG era than the TMP one...

    SS Liberty Class Frieghter
    (Redraw, 25 Jan 2006)

Finally got around to redrawing this beast today. The original art had the usual problems, but there was no way to reconsile the views together that well (the warp engines were at different levels, etc..) I decided to redraw the 'cowling' section completely, using the Overfield as a base. Improved, but , personally , not one I would include in my /own/ material.

    SS Mo'Kal Class Transport

Yeah, this one sucks. Usual FASA problems, along with some bizzare backstory where this is supposed to be one of the Federation's FIRST Transports? In fact, these are out of service before the Enterprise launches in 2271! Why is this a problem? Look at the image and you'll figure it out... oy...
