    Sindarin Dictionary Emergency!

    Help!

I've accidentally deleted one of the most valuable resources I've ever had - a PDF Sindarin/Quenya --> English dictionary. It was the most comprehensive quick translation tool I've found, and I've inadvertently gotten rid of it! *smacks self on head*

Does anyone know of where I can download it again? No, I don't know the actual name of it, except that it was a PDF, and was written in a similar style to Tolkien's Sindarin --> English dictionary in the back of The Silmarillion.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I know the PDF you mean. I have a hard copy of it, but not a digital one unfortunately.

Online, you can try these Sindarin/Quenya resources:

    http://www.jrrvf.com/hisweloke/sindar/downloads.html
(You have to register to download this Sindarin dictionary PDF -- might be the one I have printed, actually)

    http://www.elvish.org/gwaith/
(Best Tolkien Elvish language site on the net, but you have to pay to get a cd of the Sindarin dictionary)

    http://sindarin.weet.us/resources.html
(Website listing decent online Sindarin resources)

    Hope that helps!

Thanks for the links, LQ. I haven't yet checked them out thoroughly, but I like what I've seen so far.

I also managed to track down this fantastic bit of software called Dragon Flame, which I'm now running on my laptop. It is absolutely sensational, and whlie I do miss my S/E dictionary, this is probably superior to it.
