Early TOS Episodes

I was watching TOS on Sci-fi today at 6:00 pm an noticed that there were only 2 colors for the uniforms gold and blue. This is the episode with Gary Mitchell. Spock is the Ist officer and only the 1st officer Sulu is a science officer and no Bones.
I only posted this because I never noticed it before.

Yes, you are correct, it wasn't until the 2nd episode( I think) that they came out with the red shirts we know and love. The security goon, " you take a look over there, see if there is anything."
" Yes , Sir."
" you know Bones, I thinking I am getting older or these Kids are getting Younger."

However, engineering/security did wear a tan color which was different from the gold. It could be hard to notice unless you see them standing next to each other.

No they were stading close together and I didn't see a difference in color. when did Bones join the crew.

You know I'm not sure. I think he showed up in the 2nd or 3rd episode. I could be wrong however.

Trust me on this one

Scotty is the best example of the tan uniforms in action.

There are three different colours. Lee Kelso and Scotty wear shirts with a different tinge, Kirk is gold.

Dr Piper was allegedly going to retire but stuck around until Mccoy showed up, the very next episode. Man Trap was the next aired, but the first produced was Corbomite Manuver. "WNMHGB" was the second pilot and only one with out Mccoy assigned to Enterprise, and used most of the uniforms etc from "Cage".
