    Talking German Trek rpg

Just curious if anyone knows about this version of the game (dated 1997) and if it is original or using Fasa materials? I ran across it online and started digging for info. Unfortunately I can't find the specifics, although I did find the homepage (which doesn't mention either origin company or even that the game is still available). Here's a link to the game so you can see it. Has a pretty spiffy cover! (link includes the babelfish translator url embedded in it to save time):

It almost sounds as if they made their own system, but I can't be sure. Might be kinda fun to get to practice my German with!

Well, who needs you Americans , huh?

    Donīt take this seriously!

Iīve seen ze book already in stores over here, but Iīve never played it and I alzo donīt know anyone else who doez. I flipped sroug ze pages once, however and it only deals with TOS, but theyīve alzo published additional sourcebooks for adapting the game to ze newer serieses.

That is the german version of FASA's old Trek. FanPro does all the massakers on FASA material over here in germany. It was released as a translation about three years ago.

In that age the FanPro translations where for age 14 and below, so it might be a bit "hard" on the nerves to read.

... Oh, the original says Bolt Action rifle. (FanPro's Traveller)

    Hi Kurgan,
I read and own the book. It is uhh "interesting" to read and to play. We only played six episodes and then we started with LUG. The book is ok.

Well, it sounds like a bomb, but I'm still curious. There was a cheap copy on eBay recently but I passed it up while trying to figure it out, so if anyone has a copy they don't want and is willing to let it go cheap let me know. Heh, in addition to simply wanting to complete a Trek collection, I think I'm more interested in it for the cool cover. I may have a 2 or 3 duplicate Fasa modules I would trade if that were preferred.
