    Missouri Bound

Today marks the beginning of my final two weeks in Michigan. I'm heading cross-country to be with my girlfriend, who is attending grad school in Springfield. I may not be around very often for the next month, as I pack up, move and get resettled. Feel free to drop me an email, should you be reasonably local to that corner of the Ozarks.

There are worse places to move...but for this girl it's worth it, right. Best of luck, don't loose too many things, don't get lost your self, have fun with it.

See you when it's all over.

Not many worse places, in my mind. I have lived in a fairly diverse, tolerant, cosmopolitan university town for fifteen years, attended a similarly diverse, tolerant, cosmopolitan university in the heart of Detroit's inner city, and now am moving to the buckle of the Bible Belt. But yes... she is worth the hassle and expense. And it's not so much that I'm losing things as selling them off. About one-half of my roleplaying collection and one-third my boardgame collection are now gone, most of it having been sold to Titan Games (who incidentally drove halfway across Michigan for the purchase, so eager were they to pad out their game selection prior to GenCon Indy). Currently I'm hamstrung by the extreme weather, which has kept me from getting any work done. The air-conditioning in my apartment is unable to cope with the combination of high temperatures and high humidity. Right now I barely sleep, and am more or less confined to a single room which is not nearly chilled enough to be comfortable.

    Unhappy So Much for Missouri

Yesterday, a mere week before I was to pick up and begin packing the truck to move, my now-former girlfriend informed me she had "reservations" and that she no longer wanted me to join her.

    Aw man....
A brave little theory, and actually quite coherent for a system of five or seven dimensions -- if only we lived in one.
