I like all choices, especially Jellico. I really did like him showed more of the "military" part of SF as opposed to Picards "expoler". I could see him as a new Captain. As an aside do you think he survived the DW, his ship the USS Cairo was destroyed along the DMZ? Think he was transfered before that happened? Hope so.

The only one I don't like is the inclusinon of Colonel Kira, I don't think she would join SF. Too much a Bajoran Patriot for that.

How about CMDR Shelby or CMDR Cortin Zweller? He should be a CMDR by now, since he didn't have the luxury Picards 3 grade promtion.

It is in the comic...I think it is issue two or three...when they have isolated the virus threat to the joined Trill and Picard asks how many Trill are on board and Data (IIRC) says that only one other was onboard, Lt. Perium, but she was unjoined and not at risk.

He wasn't the captain at the time. I believe it was Charlie Wong or such but not Jellico.

Was that mentioned in passing on DS9? I can't remember the scene where they mention the destruction of the Cairo.

Probably the episode where the Sisko brings the Romulans into the war.

There is a specific reference to the USS Cairo and her Captain. And it wasn't Jellico.

Plus the Cairo is only lost, presumed destroyed by Dominion forces via the RNZ.

Okay so let's say for fun at the end of Star Trek X, Picard and Data are dead or gone. Riker has moved on to the USS Titan and the Enterprise is still there...

Now suddenly for Trek XI the PTB decide to create an new Enterprise crew, assembled from characters introduced in the other 2 TNG+ shows as well as some TNG holdovers.

Who would you choose for which posistions and why?

Here goes for me...

Command: Captain Edward Jellico. I developed a soft spot for this character in his two parter and felt he showed a harder edge of the Star Trek universe. Also I truely believed his straight to business attitude could have been tempered over time, just like Picard was.

XO: Commander Kira Nerys. She was given a Starfleet Commendation during the Dominion War, and after DS9 ends we can say that Bajor has joined the Federation. Terok Nor becomes an official Starfleet instalation and Nerys is offered her comission back. Her time with Cisco has left her a desire to see more of the Quadrant. Her temper and fire will be an excellent off set to Jellico.

Ops: Lt. Harry Kim. That's right complete with promotion. I love this character and would love to see more of him developing and learning. Besides he went through so much and deserved so much better than what they gave him in Voyager

Tactical: Lt. Cmdr. Tuvok. His character was one of my least favorites at the start of Voyager...but as time wnet on I came to enjoy and appreciate Tim Russ's work, I would like to see it continue.

Engineer: Commander Gerodi LaForge. What can I say, I hated him on the TV show and grew fond of him in the movies. Why mess with the best (since Mr. Scott)?

Medical: Dr. Julian Bashir. I really, really liked this character, more so than the rest of the Doctor's in Star Trek (post McCoy of course). He does need someone to play off of, and I think that would be Lt Kim.

Counseling: Commander Deanna Troi. So far we have only seen two Counslor's on the shows...Troi and Ezri. Ezris bugged me, so did Troi, but at least Troi has mental powers and by being there we can have her husband make guest shots once or twice a season.
