    Talking Star Trek-35 years young

Today, Sept 8, 2001 is Treks 35th Anniversary. I thought it shouldn't go unnoticed here. No matter how your feelings are toward the current state of affairs there is no doubt we all share a deep debt to all those who made the show and franchise what it is today from Gene Roddenberry to Harve Bennet, Ron Moore, Jeri Piller and yes even to Rick Bermen and maybe even that little twit as well. Sci Fi channel is showing a Chain reaction right now and I am sure TNN will roll out another of the movies (Again!) sometime today.

But lets not forget it was the fans who also have played a large part in that 35 year record as well!

I like the current state of Trek. When I first watched Endgame, I thought it was poorly put together. But when I watched it a second time, I thought it was a perfectly good episode. I expect Enterprise and Nemesis to turn out well. I'm looking forwards to Pocket's map and ships books next year. The new RPG will also be good. All I need now is an affordable movie uniform and a Norway class micromachine!

WOW 35 years! Seams like yesterday that I was watching TOS in my living room at Hamilton AFB. I hope it goes on for another 35 years.

They are having a Trek marithon today.
Trivia! Does anyone know why they never, or rarely show Scotty's right hand?

Jeri Piller? Is that like Tuvix? Did Jeri Taylor and Michael Piller have a transporter accident?

Trek is 35 years young....this is a well placed kick to the rears of so many nay-sayers that claimed (in the 1970s) that Trek was history. Well, I'm in my early forties and have been a Trekker since the beginning and I can only say this: TREK IS IMMORTAL!!!

Nah KlingonZ, Scotty lost part of his finger sticking it in a hole in the warp core as an ensign to stop a core breach.

    I concur with Styro, BOBW
