Thread: TMP Schematics

    TMP Schematics

Starting my toolset for the TMP-era ships today (saucer and warp engine, basically), to the new scale and detail level. This will take a bit of work, so please bear with in the meantime.

    Saucer, Dorsal, Test Version

Very nice. Looking forward to these. Movie-era is my favorite setting.

Well, it'll come. The TMP pieces take a LOT more effort than TOS, so getting the toolkit out will take some additional time.

Looks good so far - I may have some requests when this ball gets rolling...

I like it. I'm not sure I'd have given the Hermes class the heavy photon torpedo launchers, and in any case I'm not sure that even if I did do it that I would have put them on the gooseneck and right on top of the warp nacelle. I mean, that's a manned station, and I'm not sure that's the best place for it.

Visually, however...damn, this is a treat. Keep up the good work (especially since this is my era of choice).

It's an observation deck, hence the windows. I just replaced the armament section there with a nice 'sciences' area.

Ah. My bad. I'm still not sure I'd want it directly over the warp nacelle, but perhaps the shielding is better than I remember them discussing. Hell, it must be, considering the nacelle placement on the Oberth...hell, never mind, I just managed to justify the thing in my head with one of my least favorite ships. There's no justice, I tell you....

When you think about it, there's actually a lot more danger coming from the impulse engine (sitting 40m behind the bridge) that the warp engine. That's also where ALL the power of the ship siphons through... :S

In a complete creative fit.. erm.. no, this was a minor and obvious ‘modification’ of the Hermes to get the Saladin. Basically, it was an excuse to work out the 2-forward torpedo bay.

    (Note: Hermes also updated)
