Okay - so what's the difference between those two? I can't spot anything!
Hint: Look next to Waldo.
There's one key difference between the two classes...

I know.
Well, I do think that you redesigned the Charger very well.

That's probably my biggest complaint with the ships he designs with that notch in the front of the hull: The notch is huge compared to what it's actually doing. Taking it in to the first ring on the shield grid would, in my mind, be plenty.Originally Posted by Silverback

I'm right HERE ya know. :P
Actually, the 'notch' is a happy medium between that I would consider asthetically sensible and what is offered out there in other fanon designs (Akyazi) and some of DS9's and FC's designs.
Mileage varies, of course, but I think the 'armed notch' like this gives it some 'agressive' character while not undermining the saucer's basic design advantage.

Oh, it's not that I mind the notch per se; I just think it's cut too deep. I do think it adds something aggressive to the character of the ship, but I wouldn't have made it quite so large. Bringing it in to just the first ring of the shield grid instead of the second would, I think, give it the aggressive quality without looking like...well, a kitbash.Actually, the 'notch' is a happy medium between that I would consider asthetically sensible and what is offered out there in other fanon designs (Akyazi) and some of DS9's and FC's designs.

Which didn't come out right, but I'm not saying things to well tonight anyway. Perhaps when I look at it again tomorrow, I'll be able to word it better. (This does not speak well for my ability with words tonight, and considering that's how I spend a lot of my time, it makes me worry....)

That Tico is a WEIRD looking ship. So sleek from the front and top, so huge and clunky from the side. What inspired it?
It's a FASA Stardate design, so I can't really say where it came from. :S
