'New' Tolkien novel, 34 years after death

'New' Tolkien novel, 34 years after death
More than 30 years after his death, a "new" book by J.R.R. Tolkien goes on sale on Tuesday which may well be the author's last complete work to be published posthumously.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, as I didn't know about it. A strange thing that I have released is, that the book is due to be release tomorrow, but the german translation of the work is available since 1st of April 2007! You can find it here on the german Amazon.de site.

Don't know what to make of it. Do you guys plan to read it?

Not sure if I will buy it or not. Which means that I most likely will buy it at the same time I spend some money on the Atlas of Middle Earth and Silmarillion. So I will probably have it in the next few month.

But if I will find some time to read it or not...

I actually own my own (english) copy of the Silmarillion, but have so far failed to read it in it's completeness. I have managed to read 'The Hobbit' and 'The Lord of the Rings' in the original language, as well as in german, but the Silmarillion has eluded me so far.

The Atlas of Middle Earth on the other hand is a great book. A friend of mine has a copy, that's collecting dust on the shelf. One day I'll convince him to part with the book and give it to me...
