Description notes:
Fleet Data: The future shuttle is clearly an enhanced “speedboat” shuttlecraft. Fast and well shielded the future “Speedboat” is as sleek and fast as full size starship of the time period.
Fast and maneuverable the Speedboat can out fly, out run and out fight most Federation shuttle. Most shuttles can be armed with microtorpedoes and a photon torpedo module holding two photon torpedoes mounted on the exterior hull.
Most large ships carry at least one or two of these vessels for away missions when transporters cannot be used and similar situations. Variations in the shuttle design allow the enhancement of the shuttles from mission to mission.
Sensors have been enhanced from the late twenty-fourth century to detect new forms of matter and allow the detection of temporal variances in the surrounding field matter of the sub-space matrix of the galaxy. These varences allow the use of the highly effective cloak and temporal systems when installed.

With the ablative armor a shuttle is as protected as a Galaxy class starship in combat. The ablative armor generators installed as a shield enhancement. Using the power to create a hard shell armor that increases all protection four time that of standard shields. Janeway’s shuttle was able to fend off two Klingon warships intent on disabling her shuttlecraft and retaking the temporal shuttle. Most of the weapons fire was shirked off with little effort in the combat. With the size of the shuttle the attack of larger vessel becomes nearly invulnerable to attack from a larger vessel. With the Ablative armor the shuttle can with stand the attack of another shuttlecraft for extended periods. The armor has similar weaknesses to that of shields such as multiple ship attacks firing on one shuttlecraft.
The Temporal rift can easily create a rift that can cross a thousand years time distance into either the future or the past. This artifact is a hard to find any where in the known galaxy. Admiral Janeway was able to procure one from a renegade Klingon leader who was willing to sell the device at a high price.
Installed with a non-standard Cloaking Device the shuttle is hard to detect. The cloaking device is easily equal to that of late 24th century capable hiding form most vessel and including the Borg vessels until the modifications to the sensors.
