Is there a good PS 2 Star Trek game?

    Hey guys.

My girlfriend and I have bought a PS 2 in a snap decision shortly before christmas last year. Now we have played a lot of girlish stuff so far (MicroMachines appeals to the ladies round here ) but right now I fell the need for some Star Trek on my console.

So, do you know of a decent enough Trek game for PS2?

ps2.ign.com has reviews of all the PS2 Trek games. None of them got glowing reviews. I tend to trust IGN's reviews.

The PC games seem to be generally better than the console versions.

    Thanks TK, Thanks Ineti.

I had hoped that someone from these boards that I know would have played a game and would be able to comment firsthand on the games.

The only console game I've played was Star Trek: Encounters, and I found it to be an incomprehensible mess, with an abysmal control interface and generally good graphics and sound. I couldn't get past the terrible controls, though, and gave up about 20 minutes into the game.

Fortunately I was borrowing it from a friend and didn't waste my own cash on it.

Ok, Star Trek Encounters has just come off the list. Thanks for saving me my money, Ineti...
