    Friday Night Star Trek Game

We are looking to add 2-3 players to our LUG Star Trek campaign. The game is every Friday night and usually starts between 7pm-8pm EST and last until 11pm-12am EST, so around 4-5 hours of gaming usually.

We use a VTT to play online since we all don’t live close together to game in person every week. VTT stands for Virtual Table Top and there are a lot out there like fantasy grounds, maptool, battlegrounds and so on. Basically they are programs used for playing pnp games online or to augment pnp games if you can play in person.

Our campaign is set in the year 2380 and we are basically using our own custom setting within the star trek universe set after the Dominion War. We are playing federation characters serving aboard a luna class vessel named the USS Rhea.

Dedicated players would be preferred since it is an ongoing campaign and knowing which characters will be there each week helps the DM plan his episodes and adventures. We are also looking for certain overlays for new characters to compliment the current group. We currently have a first officer, a doctor, and a part time engineer. Probably gives you a good idea of what positions are available in the game.

Any players who might be interested or if you just have questions can be posted here or you can send me a private message here on the boards and we can discuss things further.

Could you maybe go more into detail about the VTT, please?

Yeah I'd love to see some screenshots/photo's of the virtual tabletop. It's something I've heard of but never seen in action!

Those above are the three that I have used over the last couple years now. There are many others out there. I personally like MapTool and Battlegrounds since they are very easy to use and easy to set up for any game you want to play.

As for some screen shots I’ll try and get together with my DM some time this weekend or next week and get some of the screen shots from our Trek games for you guys to see.
