    Gamer registry?

Here's a nifty site for those looking to find gamers in their area...

    <a href="http://nearbygamers.com/">NearbyGamers.com</a>.

It even has maps and everything. And if you look in the Salt Lake City, UT area, you may see a couple folks you recognize...

What's Don up to these days, anyway? Anything you could share with us, Doug?

OK, I've added myself . . . now to get the rest of my group of four to add themselves.

Honestly, I haven't talked to Don recently. Last I heard, he was doing well and getting back into game design. The wife and kids were good, as was the weekly game group. However, his birthday's in a week, so I'll probably be talking to him then...

It's a good idea. there's a nearby gamer -- a few blocks away, but having looked at her website...shudder!

I've actually gotten a couple of gamers off of the Access Denied site. Hopefully, this one will take off.

I've used Access Denied and also the registry over at Steve Jackson Games. I think I've gotten a few people from them over the years, but Usenet has always been more reliable for me.

Look here. It's a gamer database-registry thingy. I've used it before with success, but always check out weblinks if people have them listed in their profile -- it will help you avoid the nutters.

    Very cool.

I'm now on there, under "Hugh" (Yeah, I know... original, eh? )

And now to post about this to my blog, and get all the gamers on THERE to sign up!

Whackjobs. Psychos. Obsessive stalker creeps. Emotionally troubled nutters. In other words, those gamers out there you don't want to touch with the proverbial ten-foot pole.
