do you read a bible for your trek rpg

I am toying around with a few ideas for my next trek game . The first thing is write up a bible detailing facts , history and tech

A few things I am thinking about
TOS shuttles can travel at warp 3 to 5 . The anti matter fuel last 2 to 4 weeks of warp travel .

    Transporter range is 15,000 kms.

I am going to ask the player input on what they think things in star trek works .

I thought owen's Excalibur campaign intro sheets were really cool and concise... I started writing up some samples for the campaign ideas I had.

Generally, I do something like that, except it focuses on the individual planets, and I call it an Astrogator's Gazeteer. Each planet gets a paragraph to a page.
