Yes, it's very strange how life works out sometimes isn't it. Normally when companies merge, people lose jobs. I just lucked out that the opposite is true in this situation, they (the old and new bosses) want to bring me back because I have ten years experience -- not replace my position with a younger, less experienced and lower paid version of me.
I think I'm in the bizarro world!
