    Update for PGoodman13

As many of you know from this thread, Patrick "PGoodman13" Goodman's daughter, Bronte was scheduled for kidney surgery (technically pyeloplasty) yesterday.

Well, I got a call from Patrick today asking me to post an update so you guys know how things went.

The surgery went very well and as of this morning, Bronte was behaving more like herself again, was off all the monitors and was most likely going to be discharged this afternoon.

I'm sure Patrick and family appreciate all the well-wishes they received (hence the desire to keep you guys in the loop). I, for one, am glad to hear that the Queen of the Giraffes is doing well and going home soon.

The only Christmas present I think a loving family could ever need or want. All best wishes for now and for the year ahead for Patrick, his family - and not least to you, Doug, for having taken the time to pass this along.

Splendid news! Here's hoping for a very giraffe-y holiday for Bronte, Patrick and all the Goodman clan.

    Hey Patrick.

I have just come across this thread again. It's been over a year now since the operation.

I hope all is going well with Bronte and your family?

Everything is going splendidly, Cut; thanks for asking. We just got through with a round of testing a couple weeks ago, and the repair appears to be holding splendidly, with no signs of excessive scarring. So that's all to the good.
