Star Trek Novel Trilogy Vulcan's Soul any good?

I have seen them today on amazon.de for the first time.

Exodus (Volume One of the Vulcan's Soul Trilogy)

Exiles (Volume 2 of the Vulcan's Soul Trilogy)

Epiphany (Volume 3 of the Vulcan's Soul Trilogy)

(as to ease reference, I've included the links to the US Amazon site, rather than the german...)

What do you guys that read Trek novels, think of this trilogy? Are they a worthwhile read?

    And:
How badly are the other two books by the authors (Vulcan's Heart and Vulcan's Forge) needed to be read (that pre-date the trilogy) before tackling saidTrilogy?

    Thumbs down

the novels are rather bland and unispired to be honest, Cut. I'd save my money for the Vulcans heart book
A brave little theory, and actually quite coherent for a system of five or seven dimensions -- if only we lived in one.

    Thanks, Bouncy.

I got from the amazon review, that in one book Spock and Data worked together. Is the story set before 'Nemesis' (most likely) or actually after the events of the movie and the authors tackle the B4 thing finaly?

If I recall, it's part set in prehistory (the proto-Romulan journey fron Vulcan to Romulus) and part One year after the Dominion War (Pre-Nemesis), so no, B4 isn't mentioned.

Heart and Forge are not really necessary to read beforehand.

The development of the Remans is explained in further detail, and a new race with ties to Vulcans and Romulans and Remans is introduced.

    Memory Beta Article.

I apparently found the books more interesting than BC did. To each his own.
