    Post Lieutenant?

Um ... I was browsing the boards earlier, and I checked, and I was 'Member' -- Now, I'm "Lieutenant" -- when did that happen? Is this just something I had utterly failed to notice previously?

What're the requirements to go up in rank?

It changed for everyone. I used to be a Moderator, now I'm a Captain.

I think there has been some behind-the-scenes configuration happening.

I'm guessing that with the Dune boards gone now, Don and company chose to bring back the Trek-like ranks.

I notice that a couple of threads have been deleted...I'm guessing that that particular incident goes hand-in-hand with the removal of a recent nasty-type...?

I hope that the number of posts won't be affected (not that it will make much different to my rank, I'm guessing... )

BTW - how many posts do I have to make before I can be promoted to Lt-Cmdr? Or even to Commander?

I don't believe my number of posts have dropped off yet.

But, as far as I can tell, Red Quacker and his messages have been removed. I have noticed that his web page does not yet reflect his new status.

Im curious about the ranks to. I just posted in the Ranks thread, and from what I've seen everyone's a Lt from 200-300+ (maybe lower) right to Reg (largest poster?) on 1400.

I want to command, not serve!

If you want to command you have to be ready to step up and take responsibility over your fellow officers. Until you do so, you will be doomed to forever follow.

apparently, everyone who was a member is now a lieutenant. Those of us who were Junior Members are ensigns.

This is off topic, but everything relating to RQ is gone. I'll admit he was insulting when he posted, however, I didn't find him as irritating as most did.

    Ah well,

Unfortuately I'm at home, so I don't have his URL here. It's in the history on my computer at work.

He's got the list of the boards where he's been banned, and the ones he's visiting now who haven't seen through his trollful disguise yet.

I imagine TrekRPG.net will soon be listed as a banned site.

Ding dong the duck is dead.

    (Not you, Sal.)

Somehow, I thought it would take longer to get rid of him. Now that it's over, I have a confession to make. The posts I made in his thread were just me giving him rope in the hope that he'd hang himself. (Sarge tries to look contrite, fails miserably.)

LUGTrek isn't really dead. Not as long as we remember it.
