Isn't the Leander supposed to be an OLDER MIMBARI class of vessel and as such would be designed for and by Mimbari's, so therefore this VR Zero-G Weapon Control System would have been designed to suit Mimbari asthetic sensibilities rather than Human, pragmatic, requirements.

I give the whole idea of 8/10 for imagination, specially when trying to design an ALIEN Ship and It's Control Systems.
